    If a cyclone alert is issued, do not panic, prepare yourself.
    Keep other important papers and valuables at higher places.
    Keep torch batteries and hurricane lantern/emergency light handy.
    Before cyclone - keep the other important papers and valuables at higher places.
    Before cyclone - store dry food and water in abundance.
    Before cyclone - keep listening to battery operated radio for latest information.
    Before/during cyclone - keep the premises clean from debris which may fly with wind.
    During cyclone warning - shut all doors and windows and stay indoors
    If cyclone is affecting you, switch off electrical and gas mains in your house.
    During cyclone warning - when asked to evacuate, move to a designated cyclone shelter with the safety kit.
    During cyclone warning - help all women, especially pregnant women, children, elderly and sick people to move to the cyclone shelter.
    During cyclone warning - keep a safety kit including documents ready.
    After cyclone - do not try to enter damaged buildings.
    After cyclone - volunteer to help people in need.
    After cyclone - drink boiled water.
    After cyclone - make phone calls when it is absolutely necessary. SMS more frequently for general purpose and keep mobile phone.
    After cyclone - when ‘all clear messages’ is declared by the government officials then only venture out.
    After cyclone - listen to the advice of local officials and emergency workers.
    After cyclone - watch out for broken electric poles, broken glasses and sharp objects.
    After cyclone - stay away from flooded and affected areas.
